The Princess Royal Trust for Carers (now known as Carers Trust) publishes We Care magazine three times a year to give you a taste of the work that we, thanks to our supporters, do to help young and adult carers and their families across the UK. It contains news, campaign updates, celebrity supporter interviews and carers' stories.
The magazine is mailed to our offline supporters as a hard copy magazine, but to keep our costs down we also make it available to our online readers.
Use the links below to download previous issues of the magazine. If you would like us to send you e-copies of We Care as soon as it is published, then kindly subscribe to the magazine below
We Care issues
In this issue we talk to Harry, a young carer, about helping his mum care for his younger sister, the importance of carers getting a break and have the latest on our supporters such as the National Gardens Scheme.
Read our full length interview with Michael Sheen. Find out about Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal’s visits to Carers’ Centres, our new partnership with People’s Health Trust and all our other wonderful supporters, including Major Ashton who is trekking solo across Iceland.
See how our supporters, from Hollywood actor Michael Sheen to staff at Butlins, have been helping us. Read how our Lifeline appeal raised thousands of pounds and how we’re helping carers take a break with our Carers Break Fund.
We show how we are supporting The Network of Carers’ Centres. We provide a ‘Lifeline’ for carers via the BBC. We develop a new corporate partnership and we raise much-needed funds with a speed dating event.
We reach carers who are seldom heard and harder to reach. We hold our first ever online Twitter party. We positively influence policy in 2010 and we dress up alongside celebrities for The Big Reveal.
We see our website for young carers, YCNet, win a quality mark. We join the world of social networking, as young carers enjoy a festival weekend. We reach carers in GP surgeries, and we show fundraising at its best.
Carole Cochrane, Chief Executive, launches the first issue. We discuss how The Trust has published the first national report on the housing issues affecting carers. We check out how we’ve kept carers in the news and we talk to Vice-President and acclaimed film, television and stage actor Pam Ferris.
