Care in the UK

A carer holding her daughter

BBC Radio 4's month-long Care in the UK campaign finishes at the end of January, so there's not long left to take your chance to influence the national debate on how social care should be provided in the future.

Throughout January the 'You and Yours' and 'Woman's Hour' programmes have been running a series exploring caring issues and have been asking for carers to express their opinions on their message boards. You can listen again, or find out what is happening this week here:

In partnership with the Personal Social Services Research Unit at the London School of Economics, Radio 4 have also put together a Care Questionnaire, which they would like carers to complete. The interim findings will be announced on You and Yours on BBC Radio 4 Thursday 31 January.

Your views will also be fed anonymously into the Government's national consultation on social care, which is being held ahead of the publication of a Green Paper on the future of social care.

The final edition in this series will be at the Radio Theatre in BBC Broadcasting House in London on 31 January. If you would like to join the live studio audience for a chance to put your question about social care to Care Minister Ivan Lewis and other social care experts on the panel, you can apply for tickets.
