nhs dentists and lack of id

hi

i care for my partner full time and she claims income support for both of us , recently I found out that officially I do not exist according to the DWP computers as my partner claims income support for me !!

My problem arose when I tried to access nhs dentists due to bad toothache and I was unable to receive treatment as I did not have an exemption letter from the DWP as the claim is in my partners name.

anyone had problems like this before?

even if I pay for treatment i cannot prove I am claiming as the DWP tell me I am not claiming anything !!

works out nicely for the govt unemployment stats but not for me!!

cheers all
