Feature on young carers in Sunday Times

Just to let you know that there's going to be a feature on young carers in this week's Sunday Times magazine (5 August), in case you'd like to look out for it. They've spoken to some colleagues here and it should be interesting.

Perhaps , in the years to come , during the present age of social disintegration , all young carers will be afforded the same status as the " Bevan Boys " have been.
Whatever , it is a continuing blight on Society to have so many , and at such a young age , prop up the ( non ) care system in this country , saving the taxpayers monies in exchange for their freedom. Medals \ awards are not the way , only to be patched up to return to the trenches ?
And ...... what REAL choice does anyone of them have ?
