Hi All
Two excellent books for Carers.
The Essential Carer's Guide
Author Mary JordanLots of info about benefits, agencies and Associations etc.
The Selfish pig's Guide to Caring
Author Hugh MarriottThe authors experience and observations about life as a Carer.
Both are at the Library. if they don't have them in stock they will often order a copy for you.
Or if want to buy the book any good bookshop or off the internet at Amazon Books.
They are both well worth a read they are both written by people with personal experience of Caring.
Love Cheryl x

Sat 19 May 2007 22:59My daughter gave me a CD entitled ''COPING SKILLS FOR CAREGIVERS' WORDS AND MUSIC THAT SUPPORT AND HEAL. IT IS RECORDED BY MADELINE SINGER PhD and STEPHEN HALPERN.
It is very relaxing, and helps sleep.
I hope this is not advertising. I have no connection whatsoever. I find it helps. Also, towards the end of the day I say to myself, if he dies tomorrow, is there anything I will regret about today?

Sun 20 May 2007 00:11Oh lizzie I think you're so brave when you say:
Also, towards the end of the day I say to myself, if he dies tomorrow, is there anything I will regret about today?
I try not to think of that very often, I know I should but I keep putting it off.
