Overpriced Disability Equipment: No10 Petition

hi all
I know I'm preaching to the converted, but I'd be very grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to sign up to the petition below. just follow the link, sign up & then remember to click on the link in the email the no.10 petition site sends to you to verify your signature.
the price difference in goods for people with disabilities is huge and unfortunately financial support is not always as forthcoming as the public may expect it to be.
please forward to anyone you think may be interested in supporting this petition.
thanks for your support,

Kirsty.

I saw a wheelchair for sale in NETTO for £99 the same chair in a shop specialising in disability equipment was nearly £200 and as these are bought without VAT for the specialist shop then they are making a lot of profit at the hands of those that need them given the choice what would you pay £99 with VAT or £200 minus the VAT so about £165 Ninja emoticon Ninja emoticon

Hello Kirsty...This is not a problem if you know where to look. There is no need to pay top whack....Wildthing is quite correct in my opinion....Broaden your horizons & you will save a huge amount.......Argos www.argos.co.uk

Also have a look at some of the 'mobility shops' on e-bay.........there are loads of them....I have saved loads & have some really good stuff for 93 year old Mum.....

Hi Kirsty

I've also purchased an Item from Argos for £55 rather than paying £120 plus delivery of £20 from a specialist supplier.

I care for my 11 year old son and wanted a vibrating, heated mat for him. by going to Argos Extra Store, it cost me £55 plus £7.00 in fares to collect it, saving me £78 in total.

It can be time consuming looking around for the equipment you need, but usually the savings made make it worthwhile.

All the best.
