I'm Going to ask you the same question I asked Carers uk. Where have you been? Where has PRTC response to the green paper been. Why have you not been in the media (tv,paper) putting cares points of view across! There are a lot of Carers and carees on IB. So where have you been. Why the silence? You should be on the TV in the news putting our point of view across!

Will you be putting Carers worries in the response or just what the PRTC 'think' Carers need saying on their behalf?

Two totally different things but I know which I'll put my money on seeing.

Seems like that phrase again .... WORKING CARER .... which makes many ICA Carers blood boil.

Am I to assume that , having cared 24 \ 7 for 9 years , without a full day off , I'm considered a second class Carer for the sole reason that I gave up a £ 30k per annum job to care for my semi disabled mother ?

Why give up my job ( PRT seem to think we have a choice ) ? Simple reason .... a care package would cost MORE than I earned !

Many ICA Carers who are themselves diabled look after even more disabled carees ........ same definition for them ?

Got it right there Obsaint, same over at Carers UK (or Couldn't care less UK) working carers take priority, WE WORK DAMN HARD and receive no acknowledgement from either of the 2 so-called main sites. WHAT are they set up for if not to reflect what we want? The responses where as if done by a government lackey. Stuffed by everyone listened to by no one.

So just like carers UK PRTC are blindly accepting the governments proposals. Where are your challenges. Why arent you in the papers on TV asking questions. Call yourselves representatives. Have you seen MINDS replies at least they have the nerve not to blindly agree with the government!!

Its time for the PRTC to formulate its own opinions and not just follow government policy. Does the Princess Royal know what a gutless organisation the one is that holds her name?

Also forgot one thing whats the point of publishing it just on this site. Tou should be in the national press.\

Do you actually have any publicists or are they being bought lunches by the labour MPs?

The lack of response is astounding, then again, we are only the group you were supposed to represent. 2 main charities that issue statements going along with a government green paper that all other disability and Carers sites realise will cause unnecessary suffering and stress and want challenging. I can't believe the apathy of the PRTC in answering this thread!!!

SO no one from the PRTC wants to reply here. Justifying why they are totally supporting the green paper. When most other charities have severe problems with causing poverty and stress to an already stressed minority.

HELLO IS ANYONE THERE. and we dont just want the normal spiel from Nick how about a reply from someone a bit higher up.

I will be writing to the Princess Royal stating what a waste of the space the organisation that is meant to represent me is. I will urge her to withdraw the use of her name because i would be embarressed if my name was on it.
