can i have more than one carer

my husband has been in hospital for a big operation and is my main carer. does anyone know whether i can have someone else to care for me until he is able to do it again, and how will they get paid? Any information would be gratefully received,

Tue 22 Apr 2008 22:14is he getting carers allowance cos if he is then he wont get it if he isnt caring for you for at least 35 hrs pw or more, so i guess you could get someone else to care for you and they could get the money.

Tue 22 Apr 2008 23:01i know for direct payments u can get as many carers as u like and u also get extra payments to get another carer wen your main one has holidays so i would imagine u can hope this helps natalie
