Hello,
I'm working for a film production company and we are in the process of producing a project detailing peoples experiences, and opinions of, the NHS, we are trying to find someone who is an unpaid carer in Scotland, perhaps caring for a family member, and we would wish to talk to them about their experiences and opinions of what support the NHS offers? If you are an unpaid carer and are interested in participating then please feel free to message me or reply to this topic.
Thanks Matt McAllister

Fri 7 Mar 2008 10:13Hi Matt,
Sorry dont live in scotland (wales) but had to laugh really:
Support the nhs offers carers.
Huh! that is a joke in itself.
try reading (on this discussion line) 'bloody doctors'.
posted a couple of weeks back.... I was having a moan about our local GP (NHS) but the replies say it all really about the good old NHS re: carers.I guess this is what you are meaning by 'support' etc??????
Good luck with it anyway Matt

Mon 10 Mar 2008 15:00Sad you are only looking in Scotland there are so many of us in England and Wales. We are not just unpaid carers we are slaves and we are abused, knocked about , deprived of sleep and have to be Carer, nurse, doctor, cleaner, cook washer women, general dogsbody and all for nothing, the system abuses us and treats us like dirt and Social services a big joke. Paid high wages and do nothing for it, well the usual paper work. They like to call themselves care workers here. LOL what a bloody joke, they wouldnt know care if it smacked them in the face.
