council tax rises yet again!

council tax is set to rise yet again
. Its so unfair!! We are going to have to shell out yet more money for a crap service basically. This government expects us all to live on a paltry amount yet puts the council tax up! Oh well, i suppose its back to bread and jam for tea tonight....

Thu 24 Jan 2008 18:56Hi there Loopy , I might not be able to help you but i do know that if people have had their homes modified for a disabled person with at least one or two rooms done you can get about 20 to 30% off council tax . We had lower light switches and a wet room that got us our when i was working .

Thu 24 Jan 2008 22:09i phoned the council tax office and told them all about my circumstances but the answer was a big fat "NO". thanks for replying, i might give them another call in the morning. Our home has been modified.
