Re: carers parking badge
Mon 21 Jan 2008 22:15I think it's a fab idea really. There are often times I do not have the boys with me but need to hurry back for them and when you cant get parked its a nightmare.
Mind you, i expect all the able bodied and non carers will nick them too! So if they do it, please tell em to introduce it along with a fine for unooficial usage!

Re: carers parking badge
Mon 21 Jan 2008 22:23I would have to agree... I dont use my disc or disabled spaces when I dont have my disabled child with me - but there are times when I wish I could... although I wouldnt encourage anyone to abuse the badge's.. good idea

Re: carers parking badge
Tue 22 Jan 2008 11:34.Hi, i totally agree kerry, as with the blue badge there is always going to be people that will abuse the system,
However if a pilot scheme goes ahead ( which i think it well may) i myself will be piloting the scheme and will let you all know how it goes,
When i spoke to my local council they do relise that it will have to be closely watched, fingers crossed

Re: carers parking badge
Tue 22 Jan 2008 15:47I think it's a great idea, when our daughter isn't with us we are always rushing to get back to her as carers are usually watching her.

Tue 22 Jan 2008 18:10Good luck with it then Tammy.
If it takes off, maybe it will be introduced elsewhere.
However I wont hold my breath, here in north Wales: some of us havent even got mains sewerage yet hahahaha
