Thankyou . This is what I was trying to say about the carer for 30 years. How is it going to spill over in the future if they have been carers for 30 years and now all this legislation is coming in.Are the government going to say that we all need training. I amn really glad that not happy put this post on it has opened my eyes a lot. Wonder why Not Happy has responded probally because he or she was rebuffed by some of us. Anyway I wish them all the luck.

Re: carers
Sat 24 Nov 2007 22:32Be good to get 'Not Happy ' back on board - whoever it is is a carer in my book. Maybe some were a bit hasty? Maybe the webmaster could email our thoughts?
I can really feel and understand the anger and frustration - it's almost tangible but it needs aiming at government.
I get the feeling through the grapevine and what I read that maybe the different carer organisations need to pull together because if anything is going to get through to government and some decent outcome we need momentum from everyone.
I don't think it's going to be easy at all when you observe how the population are treated. As an example here is a snip I sent to some papers:
HIP's (HIP ocrasy?)
Would you not think it strange that when a government let 90 people die of C. Diff. and infect numerous others; they send our armed forces to war without adequate equipment and cannot care for them when injured; subject the most vulnerable sections of society to pittance wages and benefits; let the NHS spiral into decline and consequently our health; subject your personal details to criminal abuse; then why would they be interested in anything so mundane as the condition of the home you wish to buy? Anything to do with the VAT they will collect on the HIP’s fee? Is the country that bankrupt?Ahh....... getting carried away again!
