Mon 16 Jul 2007 11:05Hello and welcome Marty
I'm sure others on this site with similar experiences to yours will respond to your post. I care for my husband who has leukaemia.
However, no matter how different our individual circumstances are, we Carers have a lot in common, eg feeling low, isolated, etc. It helps to know that this is somewhere you can come to and say how you feel without feeling disloyal or guilty.
How about visiting the chat room on this site - a friendly place to "talk" to whoever is there at the time. I do not manage to go to chat every evening but there are friendly folk there each evening usually from 7.30 pm onwards. Hope to see you there soon.
Kind regards - Mag

Mon 16 Jul 2007 19:00Hi Marty, my oh has ms too and his memory is full of holes!
Sometimes he comes up with the most unexpected things that I wouldn't have expected him to remember under 'normal' circumstances, but he will also swear I never told him things, even sometimes that we haven't done something!! Can be very disconcerting!
My home has paper stars everywhere, saying how to do all sorts of ordinary things, even down to making a cuppa as he forgets what he is doing in the middle of things!
In his case I put it down to ms, in mine, old age!!
keep strong

Re: fibromyalgia and ms
Tue 24 Jul 2007 12:06hi, my husband suffers from fibromyalgia as well as severe eczema, severe asthma, depresion and many digestive problems caused by the numerous teblets that he has taken over the years. we have a very strong relationship but when he is really low and in pain we end up in the most terible arguements, and it hurts when he says that i have got no idea how hard it is for him and we would be better off with out him.
but i know that on the good days we can enjoy what we have got and so i just bite my tongue, when i can, and wait.
keep going
