The Department of Health is developing a national strategy to shape support for Carers. As part of this a nationwide strategy is being undertaken by a market research company called Opinion Leader.

There will be nine regional events throughout England in September and October each comprising of 50 Carers. These events will be followed by two larger events of 150 people (100 Carers and 50 members of the general public) in November. Our nearest events are Maidstone on 5th October and in London (150 person event) on 5th November. The events will be held at central venues and will run from 10am - 3pm.

Opinion Leader are looking for a variety of different Carers to take part. Carers must be over 18 years of age and not work for a professional care organisation to be eligible to take part.

As a thank you for taking part selected participants will receive £75 for their time and to cover travel costs and any other expenses they may encur. Travel will not be provided. Additional financial support will be available to cover any respite care if needed although responsibility for arranging this will lie with the participant.
