Carers Centre
The Carers Centre is open for "drop-in" from Monday to Friday from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
Although appointments are not always necesary, it may be advisable, particularly if you are making a special trip to the centre.
Services offered are
- Help and advice with benefit claim forms
- Support and understanding on the pressures of being in a caring situation
- Information on existing support groups
- Help to set up new carers support groups
- Training to increase carers ability to carry out their caring role
- Pampering events as a break from caring and to help recharge batteries
- Social events and activities with other carers
- Information on available respite care
- Giving carers a voice in improving local services
