Salford Carers Flexible Grant Scheme

Looking after someone who is disabled, physically or mentally ill, frail or otherwise in need of support at home may be rewarding but it can also be very tiring.

Sometimes all you need is just a few hours' break to recharge your batteries or a few days away from your day-to-day routine. Occasionally a longer period of time is needed to get back on an even keel.

If you are caring for someone who is living within Salford City Council Boundaries, Salford Carers Flexible Grant Scheme* can provide you with up to £200 towards taking a break, this could be anything from a weekend break, to a piece of equipment that will enable you to take a break, for example help with purchasing a mobile phone, a bicycle or help with gym membership.
