Carers Breaks Service & Time for Me Fund
The Carers Breaks Service supports Carers to be able to take a break and enjoy some leisure time. One part of the Service is the "Time for Me" Fund which provides grants for Carers of Children or Young people under the age of 18 towards the cost of a break that they choose. Parent Carers can apply for a grant of between £50 and £400. For Carers of Adults there is the one off payment grant which can be applied for through a Carers Assessment. The Carers Breaks Service also organises group activities bringing Carers together and breaking down some of the isolation that Carers can experience. Recent group breaks have included visits to a spa, concerts and theatre trips.
