Social and recreational activities
Gateshead Carers Centre provides a variety of social and recreational activities which provide a break for Carers.
Weekly relaxation sessions take place each Thursday 1.00 p.m. - 3.00 p.m. at Gateshead Carers Centre and Ryton United Reformed Church, Main Road, Barmoor, Ryton. Sessions include 'Exercise to Music', 'Aromatherapy Massages', 'Arts and Crafts', 'Wine and Cheese' etc.
In addition, there is a number of day trips to choose from at a small cost i.e. 'Durham and York River Cruise', 'Newcastle City Sightseeing Tour', 'Summer Flower Show', 'Shields Ferry Trip' etc.
