Sitters Service
Do you need time to go shopping, have your hair done, enjoy your favourite sport with peace of mind while the person you care for is being looked after at home?
Carers Bromley has a list of sitters who will sit with someone while their usual carer has a break. Sitters will sit with the person cared for to keep them company, take them out for a walk, shopping, to the park or for a cup of tea. They look after people with a wide range of needs but do not undertake housework.
Carers choose their own sitter and pay, as it is they who employ the sitter. The current average rate for sitting is £5 - £6 per hour but this is negotiated between the carer and the sitter.
In order to obtain a sitters list, you will need to complete an application form.
