Holding your own event
Organising a fundraising event can be one of the most rewarding, worthwhile and fun things you will ever do. No matter how much you raise, you can be sure that you are helping us to make a real difference to thousands of carers in desperate need of support.
The Trust’s experienced Events Organisers are happy to chat to you to offer advice and encouragement, whatever you want to do, to help you make your event a success. We can also provide sponsorship forms, t-shirts, information about The Trust’s work, balloons, collecting boxes, invitation cards, posters – and even training advice, should you want to get active!
From jumping out of a plane, to a sponsored head shave, from a glitzy ball to bring and buy sales – the world is your oyster, so go on, get creative! Before you have more of a think about what you might like to do, please first take a look at our Guidelines for raising money safely.
Here are a few ideas:
- Sign up to one of the thousands of runs and walks held across the UK and get sponsored for The Trust
- Organise a coffee morning at your local community centre, church or school
- Hold a non-uniform day at your local school
- Invite all your friends to a karaoke evening (or maybe just the ones who can sing)!
- Organise a bring and buy sale – get all your friends and family to get rid of their unwanted stuff and bag yourself a 'vintage' bargain
- Hold a themed 70’s or 80’s evening at home or in a local pub
- Have a wine tasting party
- Encourage local organisations to attend a Beer and Curry evening
