VINCI Park UK staff vote to support unpaid carers in 2008

Vinci Park logoVINCI Park, the world’s No. 1 parking operator, has chosen The Princess Royal Trust for Carers as its national Charity of the Year for 2008/09.

Volunteers drawn from all VINCI Park staff, including the company’s Directors, will participate in events countrywide, both in conjunction with the Trust and as part of VINCI Park’s own programme of fundraising activities which are aimed at bringing a fun element to local communities where the company is present.

Mark Evans, CEO at VINCI Park UK says: "Our staff selected The Princess Royal Trust for Carers from a number of strong contenders as representing the best fit with the aims of the company, offering a national reach while allowing our teams to interact on a scale where we can really make a difference.

"I know that both we and the charity will benefit from our partnership over the next year; however the most important people to benefit will be the thousands of unpaid carers across the UK that The Trust carers’ centres support. The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is a tremendous charity and we are proud to have the opportunity to support their work in providing help and advice to carers."

Carole Cochrane, Acting Chief Executive at The Princess Royal Trust for Carers says: "We are absolutely delighted that VINCI Park UK has chosen to support The Princess Royal Trust for Carers. The funds will help us to continue providing support to carers throughout the UK. Thank you to all those people that nominated us and we look forward to working together over the next year."
