Has anyone ever had a message from the other side? either through a dream, a thought just popping into you head, or through a medium? who of you believes in the spirit world, and ever feels spirit around you? and how do you know who's spirit it is? do any of you believe in guardian angels? i am very interested to know of other peoples opinion on this subject.

Re: Messages from the 'other side'!
Tue 31 Mar 2009 22:45yes, ive had a few. More than a few really !!! when my grandad died, he came to me in a dream. In this dream, he was in the most beautiful place that i had ever seen. He was talking to me (stroke took his speech and right side) and moving his right arm. He was telling me that he was alright. I mentioned this dream to my mom when i woke the next day. She went really quiet and said "i have had exactly the same dream". I also dreamt about my hubby six months before i met him. I dreamt that i was in a club with my friends, and that i saw him there. I dreamt what he was wearing. I dreamt that he followed me and my friend back to my house in his car. He wanted to ask me out!! When i woke i thought it was a really strange dream. Then six months later it came true !!!
I have also seen my grandad 2 weeks after he died. He was standing upstairs in our old house. My hubby (boyfriend at the time) saw him in the dining room and came running out saying that there was an old man staring at him and who was he . I had only just got with my hubby at that time.
I feel my dad all around me at times. Especially when i am upset about charlotte.
I used to have thoughts pop into my head and shortly after they came true. This was mostly when i was pregnant. I once had a black and white image in my head of hubby pushing his motorbike up a road. Then 5 minutes after, he phoned me to tell me that his bike had broke down and he was pushing it up the road to the garage !!!
The scariest thing that has ever happened to me was when i was about 16. My mom and dad used to go out every monday night for a drink. Every monday night was when it all kicked off in our house. I used to hear someone walking around my mom and dads bedroom, picking things up, slamming them down. I could hear the windows opening and shutting, the wardrobe doors opening and shutting. I took the dog in there once cos i was so scared and the dog went ballistic, snapping and snarling. I do believe that i am very sensitive to stuff like this. I am not sure about mediums though. I believe that there are good and bad ones. I have had many other things happen to me but i would be hear all night if i kept on......lol

Re: Messages from the 'other side'!
Tue 31 Mar 2009 23:30I have experienced a lot of dreams about those I love who have now passed on.
One which really brought the message home to me that I now feel strongly that messages can be passed on from those who have died to us through dream was confirmed when I dreamt about my Mam telling me about an insurance policy which I had not cashed in. I had the same dream twice in one week. Then on the Saturday got a letter from the insurance co saying that they had merged with another company. I rang them on the Monday to say that the policy had been cashed in when Mam was still alive. When they checked on their database the policy was still active. It was not a huge amount but the money arrived just before Christmas a couple of years ago and it made our Christmas a lot more enjoyable.
My favorite dream about Dad was when he came to see me at a family gathering and no one else could see him but me. He told me he could not stop for long as he was on his way to the dentist then he smiled the biggest smile possible with perfect shinny white teeth..... That was Dad's sense of humour
Thanks Mam and Dad

Wed 1 Apr 2009 19:51Oooh yes, a few things...
When I was pregnant with my eldest, my best mate michelle was insistent that i had the baby on her birthday which was one of my due dates. She used to talk to my belly all the time.
Anyway michelles ex decided to stab her 16 times when I was 7 months pregnant and she died.
Just after I had Amelia, I had given her her 6am feed and dozed back off.
All of a sudden this voice said dont open your eyes, and in walked michelle, dressed all in black. She looked at me and said ive come to see the baby. Then she went to the end of my bed where amelia was in her cot and leant over her stroking her cheek.
Then she said "Nice one duck" which is what she always called me, gave me the thumbs up and walked out.I went to see a medium some time after and she said right out the blue, michelle has seen your baby.

Wed 1 Apr 2009 23:01When I had cancer 8 years ago I felt I was lifted up and carried through my treatment. I felt my nans arms around me and often a kiss on the cheek when I called for her. I had burning sensations all down the side of the cancer and constantly felt her around me. The chemo I had dissolved my tumour which is quite rare - or so my hospital tell me.
When my dad died he told me that if there was a heaven then he would smoke himself silly. The day after he died all I could smell were his ciggies. He also said he would shake cocoa around so I would know he was there. The day after that the smell of chocolate was over powering. Also at the time he died I got really angry and started having a go about him being so ill to my hubby and I burst into tears. At that moment I knew he had gone.
On the day one of my friends died she walked past me in my kitchen with the most lovely smile and said hello. I said Gwen? What on earth are you doing here and she vanished into thin air. At that time she had collapsed and died of a heart attack in a supermarket in Sweden.
I have always believed we have Guardian Angels - I know my nan is one and I think my Grandad may be the other one. There is more than this life of that I am sure. It certainly makes you think!!!!

Re: Messages from the 'other side'!
Wed 1 Apr 2009 23:08I was about eleven when my grandad died very suddenly. I had dreamed about him the night before and told mum at breakfast there was no point in my going to school as I would be sent home once they got the call to say he had died. Mum just rubbished it and sent me off. Was home at mid-morning break after the phone call to dad`s work which sent him home as mum needed him as her dad had died.
After mum passed away a friend of her late sister was at a medium who told her the sisters were reunited and were with Nancy. Turned out this was a cousin who had died very young.
When my OH was ill he regularly sees his late mum and says she wants him to go with her. Last time when he almost died I shouted out "He`s not ready to go yet, and I am not ready to let him go Lil" Neighbour thought I was potty, but it worked and within a few hours the fits had stopped and the fever broken.
My OH has seen all his late siblings just after they died when they came to say cheerio to him.
His brother I nursed joked he was coming back as a seagull and every time I parked where I shouldn`t I would come back to a giant seagull poo on the car. I tried it out for fun the week after he died, and came back to seven seagull poos. When his next brother died we were on holiday and sharing a fish supper when two limping seagulls came and shared our chips (both brothers had leg injuries). When their kid brother died the road sweeper thought I had lost the plot when I came out of the florist with his wreath and asked a baby seagull who crossed my path, "do you like your flowers then, Frank"
My paternal grandmother who died when I was five had a ghost in her front room. My mum freaked when I was having a conversation with him.
I have also had two bad premonitions of disasters before they happened and that was frightening.
Take care
Meg

Re: Messages from the 'other side'!
Thu 2 Apr 2009 08:42yes i have had premonitons of disasters. Me hand hubby (boyfriend then) were due to go on the "herald of free enterprise" ferry to zebrugge . It was when a national newspaper was doing a promotion for it. Anyway, i was about to post the application form for tickets off when i had the most awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. I didnt post them and had this horrible feeling for a few hours. Then of course , a few weeks after , the boat sunk taking most of the people on board with it.

Re: Messages from the 'other side'!
Thu 2 Apr 2009 08:44I know we have had post's like this before and i have said that i 'get help' finding things i have lost? but in recent months i have had a lot more 'activity'! so much so i was just messing around on the PC one day and a site for a local spititualist church 'just' popped up on my screen. It gave dates of events including a weekly circle, which is where you go for mediumship training. I decided to go along and see what it was all about and see if i could find out what was happening to me. The first week i did my first ever meditation, there were three that night in fact all having a different purpose. The second one was well strange but wonderful. In it i was met by my first husband Peter who took my hand and led me to the place where he is and where my loved ones are. He sat me down on the grass and placed our son in my left arm and my grandaughter in my right arm! the place was beyond beautifull with green medows to my left and a beautiful bluey green sea to the right which glistened silver where light bounced off it, there was also a waterfall where through it was my world. I saw my dad who died 37 years ago and my mum but also other people who i didn't know but were related to me. It was the most strangest thing i have ever been through, i really didn't want to come back cause all i felt was love and contentment, they were the only emotions in that place. Well we all(in the circle) had to write what and who we saw then had to tell the group one by one what we had written down. The place we all saw seemed to be the same for everyone! Now even though i have had my own experiences i am still a little sceptic as to if this really did happen to me or if it was just my imagination, however since going to this circle every Wednesday i seem to be 'hearing' or 'feeling' more. I continue to meditate at home and feel so refreshed and 'new' for it. Monday at 4am i woke suddenly to realise that my heart(i have a heart condition) was thumping in my chest, but in stead of going at 200 bpm as usual it was frightengly slow, i took my BP which was 195/110 which is high but my pulse rate was 43!!! it freaked me out so much i was too scared to go back to sleep. I did fall asleep eventually just after 9am but when i woke up i felt an urgent need to get my affairs in order. I spoke to the minister last night but he just said there is nothing to be concerned about, but i am concerned! isn't it said that "you never know when your time is up, but when your time is up you know!!! still sh@/&£ng myself cause i don't know what it all means. Has anyone been through anything like this?

Re: Messages from the 'other side'!
Thu 2 Apr 2009 08:54By the way, yesterday my daughter asked if i could collect my grandson from school as she had a meeting at work from 2 till 4, me and my hubby had an appointment with our sons psych at 11.30 which was for 90mins, i had to be at the school for 2.50 so knew we had time. When i woke up yesterday i kept getting the feeling of a cancellation so waited for the hospital to ring to say the psych wouldn't be able to make it, well when we got to the hospital i thought daft cow see your wrong..... the meeting with her went overtime till 1.30 but i still had time to get to my grandsons school by 2.50, well 2 buses didn't turn up so i started to panic about being late. I decided the only thing to do was to get off the bus at the nearest cash point and get money out and get a cab to his school, while on the bus with only 30mins left before school time over my daughter phoned me and asked if i had left yet, i told her what was going on but said not to worry cause i would get a cab, she then said "oh don't worry i just rang to tell you the meeting was cancelled and i can collect him myself afterall"!!!
