does any one know at what the rate is capped at for a dependant with a dissability or does it go on wen they are an adult like council tax reduction my daughter is only 15 would we be eligbible

Wed 20 Feb 2008 14:34Water Rates are capped at the normal amount paid by everyone, providing you have a meter, because if you are using a lot more water for bathing, washing etc this would be a great help. However if you have no meter then they dont cap it as it is set at the normal rate for the area and house size etc. On a meter it is capped at the average rates and so you end up not having to pay excess even if you use a lot. There are certain benefits you need to be receiving to do this, if you ring your suppliers they will put you through to a person who will advise you,I have found them useful. Doesnt help me yet as I have no meter so still have the disgustingly high price to pay and there is no discount as there is for the house rates. Hope this helps you
