hi, i am a final year fashion student, i am basing my honours project on the attitutes of people in the fashion industry towards people with disabilities. i would very much appreciate it if you could take the time to comment xxx

I don't think people in the fashion industry have the remotest idea how difficult it is for disabled ladies to buy nice practical clothes. I don't think they care either. My 39 year old Daughter has Downs Syndrome, she is only 4foot 4 and a half inches tall, size 18 and takes a childs size 12 shoe, she love to wear nice clothes , it is a nightmare trying to get anything to fit her,
If I buy size 18 clothes for her they always have to be altered
I just wish there was a firm that specialised in making clothes for people such as my Daughter, though I don't think there would be any profit in it for them, after all that is what matters most to them.
