Hi Leah

I've been looking on-line without much success - the cheapest one I could find was in Argos stores priced at £127.19. Do you ever shop on ebay, as you might get a bargain that way? Also, do you have an auctions nearby, as my husband sometimes goes to a local auction and has picked up some like-new mobility aids there.

best of luck!

If you need a wheelchair you should get one free from your local wheelchair services.

There are often wheelchairs and even sometimes motorised scooters cheap secondhand in local papers or freeads. We got one that way that had barely been used. I know this is a little late. Hope you found something Smile emoticon

Try to get one on loan. Your Social Worker should have contact details. Be careful though about "the small print". My wife hadn't realised that her wheelchair was on a short term loan. She was threatend with court action for "improper use of a wheelchair" - whatever that means!

The Red Cross society would probably loan you one while to be used while you investigate ways of obtaining one, that will give you a little time to make enquiries. Smile emoticon

I got one on loan from the red cross, and they advised me to go to my gp and ask if she would fill in a form for one for my mother, I got it no problem and was very grateful to the person at the red cross, I would never have thought of that. Hope this helps Yes emoticon
