Hi all
Just to give you some advance warning - on Wednesday 2nd April from 7-8pm, we will be joined in the chat room by Sarah Tooke from The National Autistic Society.
Whether you are caring for a child or adult with autism, Sarah will be in the chat room to meet carers and offer help and advice. It's a great chance to talk about the issues that concern you and meet other carers in a similar position, so make sure you join us in the chat room if you can.
Further details on Monday, but wanted to give you a little notice. We hope to see you there!
Michele
The NAS also recently launched a report about the lack of help and support available for adults with autism and how they are being cared for by ageing parents, as part of their 'I Exist - think differently about autism' campaign:
www.think-differently.org.uk .
April is Autism Awareness Month and the UN has designated 2 of April as World Autism Day

Re: Webchat with National Autistic Society: Wednesday 2 April
Tue 1 Apr 2008 19:16Hi Natalie, I was wonderin if you could give me advice for my ASD 14 yr old who also suffers with very high anxiety. The panic attacks she suffers with are so extreme she vomits as if she has gastroenteritis which accompanies a foul smelling egg, which she can also taste. She as been given relaxation cd to no effect, been advised to blow in a bag, again no effect. My little girl feels as if she is going crazy and she is so scared of the effects of these attacks. PLEASE help , thanks carole x
