Would you like to share your story ?

I have been a carer for my mentally ill husband for five years. The lack of help and feelings of total isolation have devastated me at times. The strain of looking after my husband spiralled me into depression. Now that I am feeling better, (in the very spare time that I have), I am wanting to write a book about looking after carers. I was wondering if anyone would like to share their stories with me, about how they cope or don't, and what issues they would like to see raised in such a book. I really want this to be a book to help everyone who has ever cared for anyone, as carers are special people who make the world a better place.

Sounds like a great idea although I must say that it has been done before. (Im doing my dissertation on parent carers and therefore have researched quite a bit, and bought some books, and there are quite a few journals out there too)
But if youre just wanting narratives and peoples experiences then go fo it!!!
Who would you cover though? I mean there are so many different types of carers, where would you start????
It might be easy to get bogged down in it all if you know what I mean.
Oooh I sound well pompous... Sorry, dont mean to.
Just that its such a huuuuge area of research, and potentially complicated.
Anyway, good luck with it. It'll be great to get something like that published for perhaps professionals to read (and weep) over our struggles.
