You couldn't make it up!

By Boggle
Thu 13 Nov 2008 00:51

Hi - Just thought I would post the link to our blog concerning the huge problems we are having over my daughter's health care and the way I am being treated for daring to stand up for her!
There are issues involved that shold concern other carers.
Do check back to the blog regularly for updates - which will be posted most days for quite a while - it's a long story that is still ongoing and we will also be recording the full history of similar events.

Thanks.

Had a fairly quick look at your blog and admire you for your strength of character and sheer energy. We are only similar in that we have a loved one that is being treated appallingly by the NHS but my battle has only just really started.

I have recently started a new discussion on the lack of care in mental health. I shall look in on a more regular basis because I am sure to draw strength from your situation.

Good luck with it all and I hope Hari gets a diagnosis soon for the unknown problem. Kind regards, Jan

Hi Janbo - enjoy the blog!
Keep fighting for what is right in your own situation - if you don't stand up for him nobody else will!
Our fight looks like it is going to run and run - which might make the blog pretty interesting!!!!

Thanks Kerry - do check back for regular updates - there is a lot more to be told yet!
Should be some more updates tomorrow - having a couple of days off yesterday and today - it is quite time consuming!
Feel free to spread the link to other people.

I rarely post on here but I wanted to know that I have read your blog and am sadly not surprised. Have also experienced similar problems with doctors and their poor treatment of my daughter and her, then, undiagnosed condition.
Good luck with your fight, I really hope you can get justice for Hari and peace for yourselves.

Thanks Kerry - I know my friend's daughter has put a link on her facebook page - but the more links the better! I once saw a T shirt I liked - it said - No! I am NOT on facebook! Laugh emoticon

Happyasadeadcat - I love that name!!! It is sooo good to hear of other people who have had similar problems - this blog is reaching a fair few of them already! I will never understand why they think it's OK to make everything such a battle when doing their jobs properly in the first place would save everybody a lot of hassle! Maybe they just enjoy the power trips! Hope all is well with your problems - do keep checking the blog - more will be revealed! Devil emoticon

Boggle AKA the Mother (!!!)
Maybe you should join face book and advertise your cause- they have a section on there for just that (such as against child abuse etc)
My friend has one running about her childs school.

I expect you know all this anyway but I picked up this leaflet the other day in my local hospital:
Mental capacity act 2007.
"says that you should be consulted by professionals when, for example, a doctor makes a decision about treatment for a family member who lacks capacity"

Thanks Kerry -facebook might well be a good idea - I'll put it on the list!
In this instance they have tried to abuse the mental capacity act - Hari doesn't lack capacity under the terms of the act so any attempt to try and use it would be illegal anyway!
