Hello Virginia

You can only use the blue badge if you have the person who has the disability in the car with you at the time of parking or if you are collecting them. If you are found at any time to of used a blue badge wtihout the person being actually with you it would result in the blue badge being withdrawn and a possible heafty fine. As this is classed as misuse of the badge.

Hope this has helped towards answering your question and that your mother is feeling more comfortable

take care

Thanks Tricia,
That is what I wanted to know. I must pass that on to the person who told me otherwise, as i wouldn't like them to be caught out. especially as they said it was said to be ok , y a traffic warden who patrols the hospital parking.
many thanks

Hello Virginia, it maybe worth asking the car park security if you can have a pass? we have had one in the past when our daughter has been in for a while. Sometimes the sister on the ward can issue you with a pass too, or arrange one for you.
Worth asking, they can only say no.

Hi Mags,
I have the pass which I have to sign for every week,
Which costs £10.00, welll worth it , as opposed to the alternative. many thanks for your reply
