Surrender emoticon hi guys I have had a couple of hetic weeks the 1 st week was the wedding writing some things about it
I have been to many Indian weddings but this one was huge and as I was on the brides side a lot of things to do .
The wedding was exhausting.
started on Thursday did some cooking (Indian sweets) for later then in the evening it was mendi night where the bride gets all her hands, arms and feet painted ready for the wedding, being the 2nd auntie I had my hands only painted its worn off now but at the time it looked nice, mind you had to go to bed with gloves on. I wore a red trouser suit.
On Friday evening it was the brides party night so had it at the community centre it was fun plenty of food and loud Indian music it lasted for 5 hours. Wore a black glitter trouser suit the lenga I was going to wear was to tight.
My nephew was coming was to stay at my house with his wife and 4 children but in the end 7 turned up for the wedding but due to the bomb scare in London 4 of them never arrived till 9 30 pm they came straight to the party while the others never came till 4 am in the morning it was exhausting.
On Saturday it was a mad rush to get ready for the wedding I wore a cream embroided sari infact my daughters and Sonia (nephew wife and daughter we was all in different shades of blue sari's after the temple wedding off we went to the reception in Dudley some changed I didn’t but the bride looked fab she was in red lenga (long skirt suit)
When we walked into the room trumpets ECT announced our arrival and people clapping so embarrassing.
I at to meet the other relatives many times as well it lasted 8-9 hours then we go back to the brides house to see her before she goes to her future husband house to live there it was a tearful goodbye he lives in Bedford.
The next day just the family had to go down to Bedford again to meet the family as they put on a party for us and again we was announced and again met more relatives I wore a black, blue glitter trouser suit after the party we went back to the grooms house but as the coach man had another job we had to go (the family) back to Wolverhampton (truthfully we was all glad we was all tired).

When we came back we all went home ready to have a good rest but sadly that was not to be as next day my father in law died but I will write about that latert sadly that was not to be as next day my father in law died but I will write about that later.
so to you all take care and look after yourselves all the best Surrender emoticon coffee

Coffee, I read all the way down to the bottom thinking how lovely it all sounded, even though exhausting and the outfit descriptions were great. In fact the whole thing sounded marvellous, right down to the last paragraph.
So sorry about your father in law Sad emoticon

I just loved reading your wonderful post - what a great wedding and your description of everything that happened and the lovely clothing - and then about your father-in-law, how sad.

Kind regards - Mag
