hello Jojoe,
welcome to the site.
Im not in your situation although I do have a brother with learning difficulties (fragile x syndrome)
He's 39 now and I worry about him enormously as he lives with my awful Mother and I worry what will happen when she snuffs it as he won't manage on his own.
She will still not accept there is anything wrong with him so he doesn't get any help and he wouldn't know where to start looking if he needed it.
I don't see them, (personal reasons) but it doesn't stop me worrying or loving him- after all, he is still me 'baby brovver'.

I'm sure there are others on here in your situation so you should get some good advice and support.
