Can any one help me PLEASE

I care for my wife and 3 kids and have done for the past 6 years. "yrs ago i had to finaly leave work as my wife's illness became worse. After many years of trying to get help i finaly got it. But now i am trying to get some info on how to get help for holidays for my family. Living on benifits with 3 kids and one under 3 is hard going. Even harder when yourwife has bipolar. So can anyone out there that can point me in the right direction to get my wife a kids a long over due holiday. Sounds like i'm asking for a hand out i know but I myself need a break, don't have time really for myself.

Thu 24 Jul 2008 21:12you could try the Rowntree foundation, but can't remember if they cover adults, trying cost's nothing.

Thu 24 Jul 2008 22:57The family fund only deal with children with disabilities but if you go into the library they have a directory of charities. Your social worker should also be able to help. Otherwise do as the masses do and go with the sun holidays def,. the cheapest way and they have great childrens entertainment. Some can be reached by train you just have to do a little research.Kind regards Colleen

Fri 25 Jul 2008 12:51contact social services and they can apply for a carers grant of £300 towards a holiday. ive just filled on mine. hope this helps. failing that socail services will point you in the rite direction
