i know this is off the carers subject, but my daughter really freaked me out the other day!!! she was staring and giggling at something over my shoulder. She freaked me out when she said my dads name and my grandads name. My dad has been dead for 4 years and my grandad 32 years!!! how could she of known my grandads name is what is really freaking me!!! does anyone else believe in this sort of stuff and has anyone had any experiences?? I have had LOADS when i was little. They all stick in my mind all too well. The expereinces i had terrified me. Sad emoticon Sad emoticon

Hi Lisa, Yep totally believe matey.
We've got our very own ghost here, his names Allen and he was a barber.
Part of my house used to be the barbers shop. He's very nice though and always knocks before entering the bathroom, bedroom or whatever.
Just wish he would do something about the bloody mice we have now!
Even Simba my german shepherd has got used to him now, he used to growl and look at I dunno what around the room, but now he don't bat an eyelid.
children are particularly susceptible to other senses, and this will include our special children as they retain that innocence of younger 'normal' kids.
Smile emoticon
It'll be grandad coming to keep an eye out for his grandaughter, thats all.

Yes Loopy we have a resident spirit my daughter named George, we all have seen the shadow walk across the landing from Adams bedroom to ours, my grandson Morgan ran to his mummy who was sitting on the settee and pointed toward the stairs and said 'bad man' and lowered his arm as if the 'bad man' was walking down the stairs. Adam has seen shadows move across his room for years, i told him its his brother looking out for him and not to be scared that he just wants to get to know him and protect him. I know my daughters dad visits often, its instinct that i know its him, he died in 1991 my grief at loosing him is as raw today as it was then so i suppose i cant let go, he always helps me find lost items and warns me when Jackie is in trouble or needs me. I have been told by many psychics that i am right in thinking its him thats here, personally i love it, i love having him around im sure its his way of letting me know he is looking after our son Jason. your daughter will be fine so dont be scared if shes not Yes emoticon

when i was little i used to hear my nan calling my name. This was after she died. Then my grandad died and i saw him upstairs 2 weeks later. My nan came to my sister and told my sister that she was alright and not ill anymore, then she said "i have to go because the others are waiting for me". This was on the day of her funeral. Then when i was about 16, whenever i was alone in the house, i used to hear someone walking about in my mom and dads room and moving all the stuff around, opening up wardrobe doors, slamming them shut etc etc. This used to scare the shit out of me and one night i took the dog and walked into the room. Everything was perfect but the dog went mad, snapping and snarling. Our dog used to refuse to go into the dining room. He used to stop at the door and refuse to budge. He used to whine and cry at nothing. I used to feel that there was a really heavy oppresive presense in my room. It all seemed to centre around me and not much around my sisters. Then years later when i was pregnant with my son it all started again. This time i could sense more. The one day i turned round to my mom and said "chris's bike has broke down and he is pushing it up the road to get to a phone box" Then a few mins later, he called me and told me that his bike had broke down!! i even named the right road. He was amazed. I could see him in my mind pushing this bike. It was a black and white image. Silly little things like when walkers crisps were doing a promotion of finding a little blue bag in the crisps, i could put my hand on top of the bag and tell you which bag had the little blue bag in . I dont know where it comes from, but even now i can sense someone behind me and there is no one there. I know whos on the telephone somtimes before i answer it. I can also feel peoples "moods" and almost what they are thinking. I put my daughter to bed a few years back and watched the light switch on the wall flick up to turn the light off. I can tell ya that freaked me. Daughter was not phased by it. Sometimes she looks past me and follows "something" across the lounge with her eyes, smiling all the time. Oh My! emoticon Oh My! emoticon

Loopy i get all that you have said!!! its like i can be in the kitchen and without looking round i can tell who has come into the room out of Adam and hubby, they dont make a sound but i know who it is Yes emoticon the same thing happens with spirits, i cant tell who is in the room with me by just sensing them and there personality, 9/10 its my ex hubby Peter hes always around and gives me strength, a few weeks ago i lost my metro bus card, we all looked high and low for it i even phoned the bus company to see if they had it, after about an hour and a half i went outside for a fag and asked Peter to tell me where it is, as clear as day in my head came 'it fell out of the pocket' (i keep it in a pocket at the front of my bag, any way i just thought i lost it out side somewhere and told my hubby but then Peter said 'no its in the bin' we searched through all the recycling bags first then the rubbish bags and in the last bag covered in satsumas and rotten banana was my pass Oh My! emoticon the thing was it was rubbish collection day and Adam loves the job of putting the bags out front but on this day he refused and said they have to stay here Oh My! emoticon Oh My! emoticon i couldnt take them out as i was in the bath and i heard the rubbish truck come and go, so there is truth in everything happens for a reason Yes emoticon Yes emoticon

I think kids are more open to that sort of thing. It's only when they get older that most of them grow out of it. When we were living overseas, my youngest came running out of her bedroom & said there was a girl who was wearing funny shoes at the top of the garden. Needless to say, we couldn't see anything but the following day we received a phone call telling us my mother-in-law had died. She had to wear special shoes with an extra high platform in one of them as she'd had an accident as a child.
