hubby bought home from work yesterday a colouring book for my daughter. It only cost 30p and her smile was the biggest brightest smile that i have seen her do in ages. she even took it to bed with her, bless her. just goes to show that you dont have to spend a fortune on kids for them to be happy.

Wed 16 Apr 2008 14:55aw loopy bless her, i know what you mean though my son goes crazy if i bring home a newly published train timetable that he hasn't already got, and he does have hundreds of the ruddy things!!!

Wed 16 Apr 2008 18:57i find that printing colouring pages of the internet great for the grandkids. The joy of colouring is more rewarding than going to the shops

Thu 17 Apr 2008 13:34my birthday is coming up soon so my son asked me if he could buy me a birthday card. So I said why don't you make one and he replied I will give you a big hug and a kiss for your birthday that will be your surprise!
That to me was and is Priceless!
