Re: help with holiday
Sat 12 Apr 2008 10:53Its a pity you didn't have a Butlins near you. We go to Minehead every year(son wont go anywhere else) and its the perfect place for people with all manor of disabilities. The customer services are great and assist as much as they can, the staff(redcoats) are brill and not one of them walk past a disabled person without stopping and talking to them. You know when you see someone in a wheelchair and people stop and talk to the carer as if the caree doesn't exist? well that doesn't happen there, they stop and talk to the caree's whilst holding there hand. The staff have training on how to communicate with caree's and assist the carer's. They do everything in there power to make sure the caree's have the best holiday they can, and try to help relieve some of the daily stress the carer's have.
