What Do I Do?

My Partner that I care for needs help with certain things and isn't that safe to be left by himself for too long - risk of falls and gets confused very easily and can't turn basic things on or off and is apt to turn things on and then go and leave them.
What worries me if I have to go into hospital (I'm having repeated attacks of an infected/inflamed appendix which sooner or later will need out!). If I get taken into hospital what would happen to my partner. Neither of us have family that could care for us and having recently moved (Maybe not such a good idea!) we are away from all our friends and right out in the country with no real close neighbours.
This is really worrying me as left by himself I dread to think what would happen.

Hi Jessica, in your position I'd be contacting social services and asking to put an emergency care plan in place.

This would mean you had agreed what care would be needed if you were to go into hospital etc.

Some areas are better than others at these plans but sometimes even just asking for this allows you to move onto getting an assessment of needs for your partner and a Carer assessment.
Hopefully from these you can get some help with things, if that's what you want.

Thant's how we did it anyway so I hope it helps a little.
