Whoever does your review should give you advice on what they can give you to help you.

You can ask for a carers grant, which is meant to make life better for you so you can take a break from caring or take driving lessons, whatever is a real need to you.

I also have fibromyalgia which is making my life a misery at the moment, if it is severe, you should get an occuaptional therapist for yourself too, they will get you a lot of aids to use around the home to make life easier ....... my favourite is the kettle tipper ...... sad I know, but I love it.

Much love and luck

Hi fit-to-drop,

You should get in touch with your nearest PRTC Carers Centre. They will be able to advise you on what is going on in your County and what sort of things you are liable to get via your Carers Assessment. You might also find there is a time limit from date of asking to date of carrying it out - ours is 30 days but they dont advertise that and hope we dont find out. Again the Carers Centre will know this. Do not rely on care management to advise you. They dont want you to get anything. You need independant advise. I got everything I asked for but only because the Centre knew all the tricks Laugh emoticon

You will find the centres just above this discussion board
Good luck
