Changes to court of protection

Is anyone else getting slightly stressed and confused by the changes to the court of protection? Since the postal strike ended I have had something everyday in the post from them, the insurance bond people (who gave contradicting info), or court office funds. I also feel like there are lots of fees to pay too!!! I like it when they say that as a 'deputy' (change from reciever) that u can make more decisions and less contact with the office of public guardian (as they are now called) but that the majority of my dads money is still with the court office funds so still have to apply to them anyway.... Oh well, see what tomorrows post brings! Big grin emoticon

Hi there.
Yes also confused over the changes in the court of protection. Especially when I care for my 10 year old son 24/7 as if I get time to sit and read all the bumph they keep sending. Also feel that it is wrong that we should have to pay so many fees!! Cursing emoticon As far as I am aware we still have to apply for them to obtain any monies so apart from being called a deputy and it now being the office of public guardian what else has changed.....

Hopefully, I will be able to get some time to check out all the new paperwork....lol Roll eyes emoticon

Hi susie,
I rang with a query and got told to apply to the court in writing (using one of the new forms) and they'd ge back to me..... they haven't!
They are very quick to point out when the annual accounts or their money is due though!!
And whats the bit about submitting a report now not the accounts....think i need to read it all again! Roll eyes emoticon
