The Carers Advice & Resource Establishment, Sandwell (CARES), has this month won the Community Care Award for carer services in the UK.

These national awards, the major annual Social Care awards for good practice and innovation, were presented at the Park Lane Hilton in London in a glittering awards luncheon hosted by Paul O'Grady (Lily Savage).

The award, together with a prize of £5,000, was won by CARES for its Adult Guidance & Lifelong Learning Service which was praised by the judges for its ground breaking and high quality work with carers.
