Celebrating Carers

Every year NEWCIS celebrates the contribution that Carers make by holding Carers Week events (in June) and Carers Rights Day events (in December). These are national events in recognition of the valuable contribution made by Carers and to highlight this contribution not only to the general public but also to national and local government decision makers and to individuals within the health and social care sectors.

Social events are also important for Carers and NEWCIS endeavours to organise these as much as funding permits. The Christmas parties are becoming a regular feature and at other times of the year Carers have enjoyed theatre trips, day trips to Llandudno and even a ghost walk around Chester!

These events give Carers a much needed opportunity to socialise whilst having all the arrangements organised for them.

NEWCIS is delighted that this year Wrexham Rotary Club is hoping to fundraise in order to put on special events for Carers in Wrexham County in conjunction with NEWCIS.
