Swansea Carers' Centre

Centre Leaflets

When Swansea Carers’ Centre first opened its doors in April 1994 it was part of Age Concern Swansea and was only able to help and support carers of older people or older carers. In April 2005 Swansea Carers’ Centre became an independent charity intent on providing a holistic service for all carers across the City & County of Swansea.

Over the past year considerable progress has been made. Swansea Carers’ Centre continues to flourish by providing advice, information, support, training and advocacy, including welfare benefits advice. In November 2005 Swansea Carers’ Centre was granted Alternative Office status, and is now authorised by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions to receive benefit claims from people aged 60 or over.
