Carers' Support Groups
Many carers find it helpful to belong to a support group. We currently support two carers’ groups which meet on a monthly basis. One carers’ group meets on the first Wednesday of the month between 2pm & 4pm at Swansea Carers' Centre. The group also meet for regular lunches, training on a variety of practical issues as well as for fun days and pamper days out. More importantly carers can chat with other people who understand what it is to be a carer- but even more importantly carers can relax and forget about their caring role if that is what they need to do.
We also have a support group for carers who are caring for people with Mental Health problems which usually meets between at 6.30pm & 8.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month, at the Carers’ Centre.
