Carmarthenshire Carers Service produces and distributes carers information, signposts people who are caring to sources of help and support through a telephone service, and facilitates the Carers Alliance. It is through the Carers Alliance that carers are encouraged to participate in the planning, development and review of services.
A carer is someone who looks after a relative, friend or neighbour on a regular basis who could not manage without that help.
The service provides:
• Carers Information Pack
• Carers’ News, a quarterly newsletter for carers
• Carers Week events each June
• Carers’ Rights Day event in December
