Jason Tynan

Carers Development Worker - Mental Health

Jason has joined Bridgend Carers Centre as a Carers Development Worker with a remit for Mental Health. Jason has been a carer of an adult with a mental health diagnosis in bridgend since 1990. He has worked with lots of carers, having previously managed respite services for the British Red Cross. He has also worked in mental health in the statutory and voluntary sectors. Jason says "I feel it is enormously important to educate professionals about the needs of carers and this will be a focus of my work over the coming year. I believe the views of carers are imperative in doing this, so if you are a carer of a person with a mental health diagnosis, I would like to hear from you, whether it be for advice, support or to share your thoughts on whats needed. Give me a call or email jason.bridgendcarers@dsl.pipex.com
Thanks
Jason"
