Care for the Carers (East Sussex)

Care for the Carers logoCare for the Carers aims; “To improve the quality of carers’ lives by helping the local community recognise and value the role of carers, and by enabling carers to access the services and support they require.”

Care for the Carers provide a range of services to carers throughout East Sussex, ranging from emotional support to carers skills training.

Our main office is in Eastbourne and we also have an office in Hastings. You can call the Eastbourne Office on 01323 738390, or call the Hastings Office on 01424 447016.

care passport launchCare Passports were re-launched in November 2006 by Care for the Carers, the Development Groups, the Hastings Conquest Hospital and the Eastbourne District General Hospital.

A Care Passport is for carers to record the special needs, preferences and ways of communicating with the person they look after, if the patient themselves cannot communicate with staff. It is hoped that this will give carers confidence, prevent any misunderstandings and ensure the well-being of patients with special needs.
