Pat Gallagher

Carers Health Liaison Community Worker (covers Stirling Council area)

The Carers Health Liaison Community Worker is part of the NHS Carers Information Strategy Project and this post aims to:-

raise awareness of the needs of carers with NHS community based staff
inform carers of their potential right to a Carers Assessment
provide identified carers with information and support, or refer on as required
promote the principle that carers are recognised and treated as key partners in the provision of care

Denise Hanlon

Carer Support/Information/Admin

Denise is the first point of contact for Carers who get in touch with the Centre. She provides information and deals with general enquiries. If you require specialist information or help she will signpost to the appropriate person or organisation.

May Kirkwood

Centre Manager

Under the direction of a Board of Trustees, May is responsible for the day to day management of the Centre, it's staff & Volunteers. Also liaison with local authority & health board re funding arrangements, accessing external funding, planning & development.

James Marshall

Young Carers Officer

James Marshall is the Young Carers Officer.

James graduated from The University of Abertay Dundee in May 2008 with an Honours degree in Criminalogical Studies and has also worked for six and a half years in after school clubs.

James has also volunteered with the Dundee Anti-Poverty Forum where he assisted in producing a published report on "What are the Worst Social Evils Facing the UK Today".

Stella McDonald

Carers Training & Development Co-ordinator (covers the Forth Valley area)

The Carers Training & Development Co-ordinator is part of the NHS Carers Information Strategy Project and this post aims to:-

develop, co-ordinate and evaluate a programme of carers training sessions throughout Forth Valley
encourage and support carers to identify their training needs and attend any relevant courses to support them in their caring role and promote their health and wellbeing
publicise and promote the training to carers and professionals working with carers in Forth Valley

Ian McPhee

Carer Support Officer

Ian has joined the Centre from Citizens Advice Bureau to assist with Carer Support.

Ian is former Director of Forth Valley Advocacy and has a wealth of experience in providing welfare rights and benefit advice. He is currently assisting Carers registered with the Centre to identify benefits available to them and gives practical help with the completion of forms.

Donna Mulder

Carers Health Liaison Worker (covers the Forth Valley area)

Works as part of the NHS Carers Information Strategy team which works with NHS staff to increase the awareness of the needs of carers, to identify hidden carers and provide information and training to support them in their carers role.

Donna works within the Forth Valley hospitals.

Angela Reynolds

Carer Support Officer

Angela has been supporting Carers at the Centre for over 7 years.
She is experienced in helping Carers in their caring role by providing information, advice, practical and emotional support and help with welfare benefit entitlement.
