The Princess Royal Trust Highlands Carers Project

Carers Advocacy Service

Highland Carers Project offers advocacy support to carers throughout the Highland area. Advocacy is about helping people to have their voices heard and their views taken into account. The advocacy service can help with a variety of issues including, making a request for a social worker, opening a record of needs for a child, making an application for housing or drafting a letter of complaint.

The Advocacy Service has 2 full-time workers and 2 part-time workers as well as 11 volunteer advocates. Most of the volunteers are or have been carers and they all bring valuable experience to their roles. The service is available for all carers living in the Highland area and is free of charge and confidential.
