Bi-lingual Carer Support Worker

To provide support to Black and Minority Ethnic Carers throughout Lanarkshire affected by Blood Borne Virus by providing information, form filling, access to services and written / oral translation in Urdu, Punjabi and English.

Carer Resource Worker

Lanarkshire Carers Centre has 2 Carer Resource Workers, one of which that covers South Lanarkshire and the other covers North Lanarkshire

The Carer Resource Worker supports the Carer Support Workers, Ensures that Carers are involved in any planning of services that is pertinent to them, identify hidden carers and develop services for Carers at a local level.

Carer Support Worker

Lanarkshire Carers Centre has 7 Carer Support Workers who cover the whole of Lanarkshire. The Carer Support Worker is the local link for Carers in their local area into the services we provide. The Carer Support Worker co-ordinate Carer Support Groups and outreach surgeries (one to one support) in the Carers local area. They also provide representation for the carers, listening ear, information and access to existing services.

Centre Manager

Centre Manager oversees the running of the Lanarkshire Carers Centre. Keeps the Board of Directors informed, liases with the local authorities, health board and other carer organisation.

Information Worker

***************************

Responsible for the Resource Library ensuring that all the information is up-to-date and concise. All the centre publicity is reviewed each year and the appropriate changes are made. Liaise with other statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure that Carers in Lanarkshire have access to information to support them in their caring role.

Quality Assurance Carer Support Worker

This worker ensures that the Lanarkshire Carers Centre is complying with Quality Standards (Tool) and provides Carers with Carer Support.

Training Officer

Training Officer co-ordinates all the training courses that Lanarkshire Carers Centre provides for Carers in Lanarkshire. The Training Officer consults Carers at the start of each programme to find out what Courses they are interested in. Training Officer ensures that all the venues, trainers and catering are booked for these courses. Training Officer liaises with statutory and voluntary organisation to ensure that Carers get access to all available courses. You will find the most uptodate course on our events page.

Clerical Worker
