Grants to help Carers Take a Break

The Time for Carers Scheme provides grants to carers to help get a break from caring and/or to offer appropriate support for the person cared for.

Carers applying for a planned break or breaks should:

• read the rules of the scheme detailed in the Time for Carers leaflet
• read the Guide & Frequently Asked Questions leaflet
• apply with their agent on an application form

Crisis Fund
This is part of the Time for Carers scheme which is intended to assit where a carer requires and immediate break or respite from a crisis that has arisen in his/her caring role.

Carers applying for the fund should:

• read the rules of the scheme detailed in the Time for Carers leaflet
• apply with their agent on an application form

Mental Health Quick Guide 2008

This useful updated guide is now available. Carers of anyone with a mental health condition can collect a copy from Carers Leeds, 6-8 The Headrow, Leeds LS1 between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm Tuesday - Friday.
