Gillian, Karen, Martin and Mandy (The Geordie Angels of the North) are going as far away as they can from their offices at Gateshead Carers Centre on 28 May 2002. The Great Escape for Carers is a national competition, which is intended to mirror and highlight how many Carers want to escape for a short time from their caring role.

The money raised from the event will go towards a special fund giving Carers their own break.
